Choral Compositions
Some of my choral compositions include:
”Nahamasa—a Choral Fanfare for Asa Mahan” which I composed for the Adrian College Choir’s Carnegie Hall performance in 2010. It included a saxophone and clarinet obbligato, played by Shannon Ford and Pam Wilkinson respectively. I accompanied the choir on piano at the Carnegie Hall performance of the same work.
When time allows I will post a rehearsal recording, the only recording I have, which sadly lacks the saxophone obbligato line.
“The Night Sky at Christmas Time” appears in a YouTube link here as performed a cappella live in concert in December 2017 by the Toledo Choral Society.
At the request of Richard Napierala, director of the Toledo Choral Society, I have composed additional movements to complete a suite of related Choral pieces.
“Cliques” is a jazzier wordless vocal piece of mine, performed a few years back by members of the Adrian College Choir.
In September 2018 the publisher Musical Resources published "The Night Sky at Christmas Time" as the first of my set of five choral pieces about stargazing, with the collection called "On This Starry Night."
